Today was my last day at my current job. I’m glad to be moving on but it’s really bittersweet. I’ve been there about five years, since I very first moved here. I don’t have a lot of people here. My co-workers are like my little international family. A lot of them are immigrants, or transplants like me, so we really are all close to each other. Many of them I’ve been working with since day one. I’m really gonna miss them all ;_; Almost serendipitously, two former co-workers I worked really closely with happened to stop in this week, so it was really nice to see them and get to tell them the news, too. There were lots of hugs, a few people gave me goodbye gifts, and I held it together pretty well until one of my co-workers started crying. Overall I’m happy and excited but I’ve definitely been a mess tonight and I’m going to miss seeing my work family every day T_T
