GMS: AN FF14 RP CAMPAIGN

Themes: Dark, Adventure, Plot
Spoilers: ShB
Size: Around 10 participants.
18+ characters and players only.

UNEQUIVELENT EXCHANGE (PT 3)

It's been another week since the events that led to the capture of the Miqo'te boy, Naoh'a. Though he has been willing to talk, he doesn't seem to have much information when questioned beyond likening the condition to that of a golem of Amdapor -- a condition his Viera "boss" shares with the adventurers. With Anini still out of commission (although receiving treatments) and Rose nowhere to be found, the infected adventurers are left with nowhere to turn for answers as their own conditions continue to worsen. It would seem they are due for another treatment as well, at least until they are able to find a way to rid themselves of the illness for good. The well-timed chime of an incoming linkshell communication comes bearing another invitation from Anini in Western Thanalan, this time to meet at Horizon to receive hopefully more optimistic news.LOCATION:
(Materia, Sophia) - Horizon, Western Thanalan, Thanalan
TIME:
Cancelled.
This is the second event for an ongoing campaign/storyline. Check back for updates on the next scheduled event.

A summary of what occurred at each event in the campaign so far.01.STILL WATERS RUN DEEP:
The Thanking of the Bees festival in Fallgourd Float was peacefully proceeding as planned until the mysterious appearance of a sickly looking Au Ra woman distracted a group of (mostly) bee-loving adventurers. Upon speaking with them, the Au Ra explained that her wife was ill and needed an herbal remedy from the sage that grows at the Gelmorra Ruins.
On their way to the ruins, the adventurers met a Lalafell by the name of Anini Ani, who explained that she was currently looking for the Au Ra woman -- Hikaru Kashoku. Associated with the Ossuary (or perhaps not anymore), Anini explained why she was looking for Hikaru; that she was deathly ill and needed to be found to be helped. When the group of adventurers met at the ruins to gather the requested herbal remedy, however, they found the Au Ra woman being harassed by a Viera man in white who seemed to have plans to take the woman somewhere. When the pair was disturbed by the arrival of the adventurers, the Au Ra woman ran away in distress over her ailing wife and the Viera man was quick to follow.Though the adventurers sought to do the same, they were waylaid by a quirky pair of Miqo'tes that answered to the Viera but who proved to be no match for the group. Quickly beaten down, they fled to save their lives, but not before revealing that they associate themselves with Dalamud.Anini, who remained in town to look for Hikaru, rejoined the party only to find the Au Ra woman had fled again. She suggests they ask the people in town to track down where Hikaru might have gone.
The party returned to Fallgourd Float to ask around, finding that not only was Hikaru spotted recently by the Gelmorran ruins at Pride Creek but that a body of a guard had been found nearby as well. With Hikaru's likely hiding place found, the group proceeded to the entrance of the ruins to finally catch up with the troubled Au Ra woman.
Unfortunately, by the time they reached her, she was long gone in her illness. In a grotesque scene, the woman's body mutated into a bright abomination that proceeded to attack the group intent on finding her. Hikarus mind nor body no longer her own, the adventurers were forced to engage her or die, and many did suffer serious injuries in their attempt to subdue her. Finally, after a grueling battle, the mutated Au Ra fell. As she did, she released a fearsome explosion of light, one that left mysterious glowing marks on the adventurers bodies. With only their wits and the equally confused ex-magi hunter to assist them, the adventurers must uncover the mystery of Hikaru's tragic circumstance to overcome whatever ailment has befallen them.02.IT'S ALL HAPPENING AGAIN:
After receiving a letter from Anini Ani six days after the death of Hikaru, the adventurers are called to visit her at her Western Thanalan home where they receive some unfortunate news regarding the light sickness; not only does it appear to be incurable by all current known methods, but her case has advanced at an alarming rate.
Upon visiting her, adventurers learn of a Sharlayan scholar-healer with experimental methods for treating the tempered; seeking them out, the afflicted adventurers are treated and earn a temporary stay of the illness. But their peace won't last long - they learn of information regarding Rose's, Hikaru's wife, whereabouts, and still seeking answers, track her down to the Central Shroud where she's attending her wife's vigil.Their questions continue to go unanswered, however, as Naoh'a, one of the Miqo'te twins, beats them to her. In order to protect Rose and get their answers, adventurers gave chase, ultimately apprehending Naoh'a.03.UNEQUIVELENT EXCHANGE:
