This moon, The Forest Children will be celebrating Nymeia, the Spinner, watcher of celestial bodies and goddess of fate. In honour of the goddess Nymeia, The Forest Children will be hosting a Fate and Fortune market. We are currently seeking fortune-tellers and merchants for the event. If you are interested in signing up your character as a merchant or fortune teller, please fill out the form here. If you’re unsure if your items would suit the event or you have any further questions, please feel free to contact our admins Nhym Nswala (Aio#1263) or Mik'a Nswala (kosmic#1837) on discord. Additionally, we will be raffling off a total of three prizes (one of them being a Dalmascan item of the winner’s choice!) to help raise funds for future Forest Children events. In celebration of Oschon’s moon, The Forest Children will be collaborating with Clan Eftmaw to host The Wanderer’s Open, a traditional shortbow archery competition. During this moon, Clan Eftmaw call upon other Miqo'te to select one representative from their tribe or clan to participate in a three-part competition of archery prowess using the shortbow. While the competition is strictly for miqo’te only, all races are welcome to join in spectating as these talented archers compete to see who will be the winner in this turn’s Wanderer’s Open. Rules for The Wanderer’s Open are available here.

We will also be offering first, second and third prizes for our lucky winners.The prizes are:

1st prize: Dalmascan attire of choice

2nd prize: Hunt Hawk

3rd Prize: Road Sparrow

Who: An open invitation for all miqo'te. All miqo’te competing must be of a clan or tribe to participate in the archery contest, however, all races are welcome to spectate. Open to all role players located on the crystal datacentre. Please note that only one member of each tribe or clan is allowed to participate and six spots are available in total.

This moon, The Forest Children will be celebrating Halone, mover of glaciers and goddess of war. In the name of this fierce goddess of war, The Paloa clan has agreed to host a melee fighting tournament, The Square, a fighting pit traditionally used to settle disputes within the Paloa Clan. Eight slots are currently open for miqo’te from all walks of life to join us in the Coerthas Central Highlands to show their battle finesse in the name of Halone for a grand prize of 1 million gil and a hunting hawk. Runner up prize is 500 000 gil. 

What: A melee fighting tournament in the name of Halone. Rules are available to read here for anyone interested in participating. Please ensure you read them before signing up here. Eight slots are available, with 3-4 more reserve slots open in case of cancelations. If participants of the tournament cannot attend, please make sure to contact an admin to alert them so your spot can go to a reserve.
Where: The Fury’s Gaze, Coerthas Central Highlands (x7.5, y 31.6), Mateus server.
When: Friday 10th of January at 9 pm est.
Who: Participation as fighters for the tournament is open to miqo’te only. However, anyone who is interested in keeper culture is welcome to attend as spectators.

This moon, The Forest Children will be celebrating Thaliak, ruler of rivers and wisdom and god of knowledge. The Forest Children invite Keepers of the Moon and those interested in learning more about traditional Keeper of the Moon culture to join us for an evening of storytelling and a “Sending of Knowledge” event at the end of the night where people will be given an opportunity to partner up as a student and teacher. In honour of Byregot , The Forest Children will be hosting The Builders’s Bazaar, an artisan market where artisans are welcome to purvey their wares and offer their services. Join us for our Tales of Change event at the guardian stone of Althyk in our homeland of the Black Shroud to share your own tales of change throughout this year. Tales of friendship, hardship, love, loss or any other form of personal growth are welcome.

What: A gathering to share tales of change in the name of the god Althyk.
