    the communis

A corner dive in Shirogane established by nobody-remembers-who, when, or why. Its staff are volunteers, its regulars trend toward Garlean expatriates, Hingan locals, and star travelers, and most of its modest proceeds now head to Garlemald in relief funds, resources, and manpower.

    the menu

    at the bar

    RUBY SEA SAKE
A light, fragrant rice wine fermented by local artisans from all over the Hingashi archipelago.
    HORREA CAMPI VODKA
A clean, smooth, peppery import made from rye grain stored in the Eblan Rime's field warehouses in Garlemald.
    IMPERIAL STOUT
A deep, dark, smoky beer known to warm even the most frostbitten and world-weary soldier after patrols on the Magna Glacies.
    HINGAN LAGER
A pale, golden, crisp beer. May or may not have been bought under the table from the Sekiseigumi to pad coffers neglected by the Bakufu. If you see a plain clothes samurai unloading confiscation-marked kegs behind the building, no you don't.
    MORS
A northern tradition brewed from sweet birch syrup and fermented lingonberry extract. Can be had straight for sipping or mixed with vodka for a pleasing, if unsettlingly magenta pink, cocktail. Tiny paper parasol upon request.
    NON-ALCOHOLIC
Coffee, green tea, necessary accoutrements, etc.
    PICKLE JUICE
A hangover cure long employed by Garlean drinkers.

    TAKO-YAKI BOAT
A steaming and sauce-slathered serving of enough doughy fried octopus to share. (Cyan sea devil, green leek, lorikeet egg)
    GLORY BE SOUP
This stew, consisting of lentils and chestnuts boiled in red wine, derives its name from Garlean soldiers singing the praises of Emperor Solus, who shared a warm meal with them after a round of military exercises one chilly night. (Lentil, chestnut, black pepper)
