Etiquette
There is no death/permanent injury, unless agreed to by you and your opponent prior to the fight.Be a good sport - this is a random game of /roll after all. Everyone wins some and loses some. It happens.Note

Combat Rules (see next section for modifiers)
Start of CombatBoth opponents roll - highest roll gains initiative (attack).CombatThe Attacker RPs their attack, and rolls.The Defender rolls and RPs how the attack hits:
- If the defense roll is higher than the attack roll, the attack fails (dodge, parry, etc.);
- If the defense roll is lower than the attack roll, the attack succeeds.The Defender now becomes Attacker.Rinse and repeat.Winning conditions- Having 3 successful attacks means victory
- While we avoid doing so most of the time, depending on how busy the night is, a time limit may be imposed (usually ~30-35min).

The Lover's Heart
You fall in love with your opponent.
On your opponent's first attack, instead of defending yourself, describe how amazing, perfect and beautiful they are as they bludgeon you - your first defense is lost.
Althyk's Eye
Time is an illusion. You have seen the future.
When defending, do your defense roll prior to your opponent RPing their attack.
Time flows backward.
Your rolls are "inversed"! I will be reading them backwards!
Spinner's Silk
Your fate has been preordained.
Make all your rolls prior to the fight, and choose their order.
Your opponent will be rolling against the established rolls.
Rhalgr's Roar
You burn brightly...
You get the first and second attack.
... but you burn out fast.
Your opponent gets the next three attacks.
Twin's Bargain
Your soul and your deeds, both good and bad, are weighed equally.
You roll twice - the average of both rolls is what is taken into account.

Tanvi Arya - Waitress
Currently working to earn her archon marks, Tanvi is an academic student who often spends her time brewing potions for varying ailments. Like her partners, Zehlvi and Xiao, she came to visit the Maw and grew fond of not only its atmosphere, but its many patrons as well. She's a kindhearted and soft spoken woman who doesn't mind keeping friendly company and helping with potential hurts on the side as well."
Padudu Moro - Waitress
A teller of fortunes, a painter of the stars, a celestial healer; Padu wears many titles and many roles, one being a waitress at The Lion’s Maw. A woman of Sharlayan origin, she hides her scholarly, dorky interests behind a reserved, but polite nature when greeting and serving guests.While one may think she doesn’t belong in a fighter’s den, don't be fooled by her small stature, politeness, or her fondness for fashion and jewels. Once you open her shell, she's a boisterous, loud, excitable thrillseeker that loves the entire world around her and everything in it!
Dopophin Arethan - Rainbow Mage
Dopophin tends towards being a more calm presence who loves to discuss theories and observations. At the Maw she is generally found sitting in the crowd near friends, though she is happy to talk to anyone while she watches the fights and makes sure they do not get too far out of hand in severity or size.She is also both healer and security, so if she becomes short tempered it's due to stress from healing or other issues.
W’ilkin Tia - Waiter/Miqo’te of the Maw
W’ilkin Tia is a kind-hearted, jovial soul who’s rather spend a night cozied up to friends with a drink in hand than fight, yet the Maw brings in the best of both worlds! This Maelstrom Storm Captain may be a stickler for rules and regulations… yet he lets this one slide. Could be because friends go here, could be because he himself just enjoys the atmosphere, but he wouldn’t dare say anything himself.You can normally find him flitting around the floor, offering menus, food, and drink to all the patrons, his signature smile always present.

The Ala Mhigan Hercules and Beast of Gyr Abania himself.Ehreksun is a towering barbarian of herculean proportions, though don't let his appearance fool you; the man is friend to all! After his time in the Resistance ended, He often spends his days wandering about finding things to pass the time, much of this includes drinking and indulging in all manners of pleasure-seeking! So, naturally he fell in love with the Lion's Maw, a place of glory and good times to be held! You can usually find him behind the bar, pouring drinks enough to ensure you stumble home.
