About
The Crystalline Library was established in December 2019 (Local Time) as a place for adventurers, scholars, and others to read, learn, and eventually became a place of community, resource, and refuge.Created by Ami Athimor after signing several contracts with the Grand Companies and like-minded organizations, the Crystalline Library is one of the biggest collections in Eorzea of both original and reprinted books, spanning from toddler books to adult fiction and non-fiction.So, join us to find your next adventure, whether that be fiction or out in the open world!
Rules
✰ We accept all skill levels and types of players, even those who simply want to enjoy the library. Please respect everyone regardless if they choose to RP or not and keep out-of-character chatter to a minimum.✰ Weapons are allowed but must stay sheathed. Any physical fighting must be taken outside. Also, minions and pets are allowed unless an event is going on.✰ IC =/ OOC. Players can have different opinions than how their characters react. If you have any issues with another player, it is highly encouraged to reach out to one of the library directors or staff first and let them handle it. This is to ensure that major problems are resolved in a polite, timely manner.✰ Avoid sexual content and extreme violence; given this is a library setting, we like to keep conversations and actions to PG-13/Teen rating as much as possible.While arguments and other distressing content are allowed, please note that the Director in Charge may ask you to stop or discuss it elsewhere if deemed necessary. Party chat or tells is also an option if you don’t wish to be interrupted.✰ Library can be used outside of public/event hours, however, the owner has a right to ask you to leave without notice.

We offer a wide selection of children's, fiction, and nonfiction books. While most of our books are translated into Eorzean Common, we have donations and borrowed books from all over the star and beyond. All Books (except local records) are available for checkout.We've added three new sections: audiobooks, aetheric/braille books, and local reference (newspaper, city-state legal information, etc.)! Please check the middle bookshelves upstairs for our selection.◆ Restricted Section
Restricted books are anything that may be unsavory information-- voidsent, illegal magicks, and so forth-- and if you want into that section, you'll need permission from our staff to give you the key past our warding system.Please come to the front desk for more information and return the key when you are finished.◆ Self-Serve Coffee, Tea, and Homemade Treats
In replacement of our cafe, we recently added a new self-serve snacks and beverages area! You can find classics like chamomile tea, matcha, coffee and expresso with cream and sugar to the side, and snacks such as honey muffins, finger sandwiches, and ginger cookies!Please do leave coffee, tea, and snacks for other patrons otherwise you will have to pay for ingredients. Calendar Notice
To give time to our staff and patrons, we've decided to remove Mondays from our rotating schedule. While people may still hang out in the library regardless of our public hours being cut, we do also recommend using this time to start up new sessions with friends, attend other venues, or do other activities. We will be revelauating opening two days a week again in the summer, the earliest June. Thank you!
